Oana Catrina, ANM meteorologist, has made several announcements regarding the weather today and over the weekend. The heatwave episode will persist until Monday:
“We will experience a heatwave, locally in southeastern regions, with isolated temperatures exceeding 37 degrees, especially on Sunday and Monday. Today, we expect temperatures around 36 degrees in the capital, with a significant heat discomfort.
From a rainfall perspective, it should be mentioned that there will be intervals of rain, isolated hailfalls, especially in the mountainous areas. On Sunday and Monday, we will have very little rainfall, particularly in the mountain area.
On the coast, the weather will be splendid this weekend, around 29 degrees, while the sea temperature will be 25 degrees, making it perfect to spend the weekend on the coast. In the mountain area, the weather will be beautiful as well, with only short afternoon showers, but not significant in terms of quantity,” stated Oana Catrina.
