Ana Bogdan motivated to win WTA Țiriac Trophy: “I really want it”

Ana Bogdan is the top seed and favorite to win the competition. The athlete born in Sinaia is participating for the first time in the tournament hosted by the National Tennis Center. “It is a great joy for me to come here and play this tournament. Last year I couldn’t, because I had a different schedule. Every time I come to my country to play, I have this feeling of satisfaction to play at home, the emotions are different and that’s what matters in the end.

“I am extremely happy to be here. I think it’s the first time I see that there are not two Romanian players against each other in the first round. I think there will be some interesting matches, there will be contested matches, and I wish success to all the Romanian players.

“I really want to win this tournament because every time I play at home, there are unique feelings and I would like to have a collection of Malvensky trophies at home. But I have to take it step by step and match by match, because the most important thing is to do this,” said Ana Bogdan.
