George Simion, the leader of the AUR party, commented on the recent case of rape involving party members, stating that if they are guilty, they must be punished severely. Simion mentioned that he had heard about the incident through television news, specifically Realitatea TV, which had a certificate confirming the rape. However, he pointed out that the case had not been heard at INML, where such matters are usually dealt with. Simion emphasized that the AUR party does not defend anyone and that the individuals involved in the case are from a village and are not AUR members. He mentioned that it was the fault of the AUR Ialomița branch for inviting them to the event, and they have since resigned. Simion expressed his desire for a proper investigation before passing judgment or engaging in public lynching.

The AUR leader further discussed similar cases involving politicians from other parties who have faced serious accusations such as pedophilia and unwanted pregnancies. He made it clear that he does not justify these actions and believes that if proven guilty, the perpetrators should be punished severely. Simion criticized the fact that the police have not summoned the individuals involved in the rape case and stated that there must be an underlying reason for this. He expressed caution, suggesting that there might be an attempt to involve the AUR party in the case. He reiterated the party’s reservation and stated that they are waiting for the authorities to provide their pronouncement.

In response to claims that the AUR members had violated the rules by consuming alcohol, Simion explained that some participants had indeed purchased alcohol from a nearby store. As a result, all participants were sent home the next morning for breaking the rules. Simion mentioned that the police had arrived and collected footage from body cameras regarding the alcohol consumption. He pointed out that the police had access to the necessary information to proceed with their investigations.

New details have emerged in the case of a 17-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by several men, including a parliament member, at an AUR party summer camp. The hearings regarding the sexual assault have been temporarily halted, and the three AUR members suspected of rape have not yet been called in for questioning. A medical certificate has confirmed that the girl was physically assaulted and raped.

The AUR-led summer camp scandal continues as more information surfaces. Allegedly, one of the perpetrators is a parliament member in the Romanian Parliament. The medical certificate received by Realitatea Plus confirms the physical assault on the 17-year-old girl. The medical report acknowledges the allegations made by the minor and proves that the incident involved human physical aggression, namely rape.

The victim provided detailed recollections of the events that transpired during that night. She mentioned that there was a beach party where a significant amount of alcohol was consumed. Later, the men took her to a hotel room, luring her with the excuse of needing a charger. From that point on, she does not remember many details of the night. Once at home, she recounted the incident to her parents, who then took her to the doctor. The girl’s mother stated that she did not give consent for her daughter to attend the AUR summer camp and did not sign any documents.

Multiple investigations are currently underway; however, the AUR members who are allegedly involved in the assault continue to attend political public events. According to sources, they have not been questioned by the authorities as of yet. In light of the massive scandal related to the rape accusations made by the participant in the AUR summer camp, the entire leadership of the AUR Ialomița County Bureau has resigned. George Simion confirmed that an internal investigation within the party was conducted, and no AUR members were found to be implicated in the incident.
