Statele Unite folosesc Taiwanul pentru a provoca o criză gravă în Asia, acuză Rusia

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Rudenko said the US is using Taiwan to provoke a serious crisis in Asia, reiterating Moscow’s support for China’s position on Taiwan, as reported by Reuters news agency.

Moscova lansează acuze la adresa Washingtonului

“We see that Washington, violating the ‘One China’ principle it recognizes, is strengthening politico-military contacts with Taipei under the slogan of maintaining the ‘status quo’ and increasing arms deliveries,” stated Rudenko.

“The purpose of such blatant interference by the US in the region’s affairs is to provoke the PRC (People’s Republic of China) and generate a crisis in Asia that suits its own selfish interests,” he added.

The report did not mention any specific contact referred to by Rudenko.

SUA, cel mai important furnizor de arme al Taiwanului

China regards democratic-governed Taiwan as its own territory, a claim rejected by Taiwan’s government. The US is Taiwan’s most significant international supporter and arms provider despite the lack of official diplomatic recognition.

The US State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comments on Rudenko’s remarks.

In September, President Joe Biden approved $567 million in military support for Taiwan. Russia reaffirmed its solidarity with China on Asian issues, criticizing US efforts to expand influence and “deliberate attempts” to inflame the Taiwan situation.

Parteneriat între Rusia și China

China and Russia declared an “unlimited” partnership in February 2022 when President Vladimir Putin visited Beijing shortly before launching a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, sparking the deadliest land war in Europe since World War II.

In May of this year, Putin and President Xi Jinping promised a “new era” of partnership between the two most powerful rivals of the United States, depicting them as an aggressive hegemon from the Cold War, sowing chaos worldwide.
