In a video clip taken from an interview with military blogger Semion Pegov, originally published on April 29th, Prigozhin claims that Russia is on the brink of disaster as the military leadership gradually removes those who speak the truth and refuse to flatter their higher-ups, Reuters reports.
“Today we have reached the boiling point,” he said in the video clip published on Gray Zone, the Telegram channel of the Wagner group.
“Why am I speaking so honestly? Because I have no right to lie to those who will live in this country. Right now, they are being lied to. It’s better to kill me.”
He also added, “But I will not lie. I must honestly say that Russia is on the brink of disaster. And if these gears are not adjusted today, then the plane will disintegrate in the air.”
Hundreds of comments were posted on Gray Zone within a few hours. “So he knew,” wrote a Telegram user whose name translates to “outpost” in the first response.
