Nostradamus, also known as Michel de Nostredame, was a French astrologer and physician born in the 16th century. He is famous for his book “Les prophéties”. He was born on December 14, 1503, in Saint-Rémy de Provence, in the south of France. At the age of 14, he left his family and joined the University of Montpellier where he studied medicine and astrology.
An expert in astrology, astronomy, and medicine, Nostradamus was fluent in multiple languages, including Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. He used his skills to write his predictions, which were written in a series of quatrains that remain open to interpretation.
Nostradamus also had success as a physician and served as the doctor to Kings Henry II, Francis II, and Charles IX. He was indeed a controversial figure in his time, facing criticism and attacks from religious authorities for his beliefs and practices.
Michel Nostradamus passed away on July 2, 1566, at the age of 62, but his prophecies continue to be shared, studied, and debated. Even 500 years later, Michel de Nostredame remains one of the most famous storytellers of adventures in the Western world. Shortly before his death, he left us his famous work “Les Prophéties”, a collection of 942 poetic quatrains that relate his predictions for the future. Although they were published in 1555, over a decade after his death, the “Prophecies” are fulfilled every year.
