In a press reaction, Mircea Sandu explained that he is optimistic and not worried.
“You defeat this disease primarily psychologically. I am a fighter because I love life. In the past, the former FRF boss confessed that the treatment involves very high costs for an ordinary person,” said the former head of Romanian football.
“It’s the third time. I am at home in Bucharest, but I am leaving for Nice in two days. I have to keep the illness under control. Let me tell you something, if you catch cancer early and treat it well from the beginning, following the oncologist’s advice carefully, cancer no longer has the power to be devastating. I am optimistic, I am not worried. I am the same as always. You defeat this disease primarily psychologically, you must not let it bring you down. (…) I have no fear. You have to have a clear head to beat this illness. I continue my treatment precisely, take my pills, everything is OK. I am a fighter, I want to continue fighting because I love life,” declared Mircea Sandu.
