Mihai Albu Reacts to Iulia Albu’s Comments – Cancer Battle Confession
Mihai Albu, the renowned shoe designer, has spoken out following Iulia Albu’s statement that their daughter should not have been informed about his health issues before the National Evaluation exam. Albu underwent prostate cancer surgery.
Despite their divorce since 2013, Mihai and Iulia Albu share a daughter, Mikaela. The young girl, who resides with her mother, has completed the eighth grade and is currently preparing for the National Evaluation. While their relationship is strained, Mihai Albu assured his daughter that he would not publicly argue with Iulia anymore. However, he has now broken his silence.
In an interview with Cancan, Iulia Albu revealed that their daughter had a tough year, especially after learning a few months before the National Evaluation that her father had undergone prostate cancer surgery. Albu was diagnosed during a routine check-up.
Mihai Albu: “Certainly Mikaela Was Affected by This News”
These statements reached Mihai Albu, who reacted on Facebook, stating, “I promised my daughter last year that I would not speak publicly about her mother, but now I am compelled to provide some clarifications regarding the accusation that it ‘WAS NOT THE CASE’ to tell Mikaela about my medical condition (given her eighth-grade status and upcoming exams),” he began his confession.
Continuing, he added, “I learned about my condition at the beginning of February and underwent a series of tests, investigations, and invasive procedures in March and April, culminating in complex surgery. Throughout these months (February, March, and April), I maintained complete discretion about the condition, informing only immediate family and close friends, aiming to protect my daughter during this challenging period.
Only after the surgical intervention, about ten days later when doctors assured me everything was okay, did I inform my daughter, particularly during the Easter holidays when she spent time with me, seeing me in recovery (with drainage tubes and a catheter). I protected her with all my being, telling her only when I deemed it necessary!”
“My Daughter is Well-Prepared for the Exam”
At that point, several individuals were already aware of my illness; I even received calls from media personnel who had heard something but lacked confirmation. Just a few days after informing my daughter, I made a public announcement. Mikaela was certainly affected by this news, scolding me for not telling her from the beginning because she wanted to be closer to me. I explained the reason, and I assure you she understood!
My daughter is well-prepared for the upcoming exam, and I am confident she will do well. My former in-laws have worked intensively on her preparation. Perhaps her mother seeks publicity, given her current role as a judge on a TV show. Mika, daddy loves you very much and stands by your side!”
Mihai Albu’s Post-Surgery Recovery and Return to Shoe Atelier
Following the intricate surgery to combat cancer, Mihai Albu is recuperating well and has already returned to his shoe atelier. “I am improving day by day! I have overcome the major hurdle and now feel better, back in the workshop.
I have always had regular check-ups, and they usually came back fine, but this time, this issue was discovered early, in my opinion. It followed a specific protocol, with all the tests, surgery… A disease detected early can save your life,” stated Mihai Albu according to Spynews.
