Hamas Lauds “Glorious” October 7 Attack on Israel: “Destroyed Illusions”

The Hamas movement on Sunday praised the “glorious” attack it launched on Israel on October 7, 2023, in a video message released ahead of the one-year anniversary of the assault that ignited the Gaza war, reports AFP.

The “glorious October 7 attack destroyed the illusions that the enemy had created, convincing the world and the region of its superiority and its supposed capabilities,” said Khalil al-Hayya, a member of the Palestinian Islamist movement, in the message delivered from Qatar.

On October 7, Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist movement, unleashed an unprecedented attack on Israel, the largest since the country’s founding in 1948.
