Laurențiu Mocanu, known by his stage name GuessWho, was caught by traffic police in Bucharest driving under the influence of psychoactive substances, specifically cocaine, sources close to the investigation told Libertatea on Wednesday, September 27.
“On September 27, around 1:30 pm, policemen from the Traffic Brigade, who were performing their duty in sector 1, stopped a vehicle for inspection driven by a 37-year-old man,” the Traffic Brigade announced.
After a preliminary test using the Drugtest device, “indications regarding the possible presence of a psychoactive substance” were revealed, the statement further reads. According to Libertatea, singer Guess Who is believed to have consumed cocaine.
He was taken to the headquarters of the National Institute of Legal Medicine (INML) for the collection of biological samples. The police have opened a criminal case and are conducting investigations in rem, meaning the focus is on the act, not the person.
