“They’ve been calling me for three days, saying, ‘We’re putting in the money.’ They’ve put in the funds, I don’t know who. Arabs, maybe? Did they pay the clause for Florinel?” Becali pondered. “I think they did. They even asked me to give them an extra 100,000. ‘Go away, I don’t want to sell him. How could I give you 100,000?'”
The back-and-forth continued as Becali expressed his reluctance to facilitate the transfer despite pressure. “Agents keep telling me they will deposit the money today. They want me to offer them 100,000 to complete the deal. For three days in a row: ‘a gift of at least 100,000,’ because they worked on it. I’m not willing. ‘You worked against me. I won’t give it to you so you won’t deposit the money,'” he highlighted.
“You can’t hold him back. If the clause is paid, he’s their player. Let’s see tomorrow morning. They’ve been saying for three days that they’re transferring the money. I told them: ‘How can I give you a commission for a player I don’t want to sell? I care about the Champions League money, not your 5 million. If they paid the clause, there’s no point in keeping him. Let the man go about his business,” Becali concluded at FANATIK EURO.

Undoubtedly, Florinel Coman’s focus now shifts entirely to the European Championship matches in Germany.
