Realitatea Plus reports that, on the other hand, the restricted area around the pipeline was delimited using stakes.
In the hours following the tragedy, authorities began to shift the blame for the explosion. First, Transgaz claimed that the construction company working on the A7 highway did not have clearance to relocate the gas pipeline that intersects with the highway’s route.
There was also speculation that this could be a human error, with workers mistakenly hitting the pipeline. The employees were working in three shifts at the A7 construction site to finish the project as quickly as possible.
On the other hand, the National Company for the Administration of Road Infrastructure (CNAIR) stated that all clearances for the construction works on the Moldova Highway project were obeyed, where the explosion occurred on Wednesday night.
