Ioana Maria Lupașcu, a pianist at the “Paul Constantinescu” Philharmonic in Ploiești, has lost her battle with illness. Having been hospitalized for some time at the Fundeni Clinical Institute, Ioana passed away due to a relentless condition. The announcement was made by her colleagues at the philharmonic.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our colleague, Ioana-Maria Lupașcu.
Although good people don’t always prevail, we will remember Ioana as a true fighter, touching the hearts of those around her and the piano keys even in the most difficult moments of life. We are grateful to have been in the presence of such a beautiful spirit and a consummate artist, even though this journey was prematurely interrupted.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Bucharest. Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and all those who have known this pure soul, and we assure them of our full support in these painful moments.
