Recently, at a meeting held at the Romanian Football Federation (FRF), Gheorghe Hagi met with Nicolae Dică, his former student from that period, and reminded him of the advice he gave the players in the locker room before leaving Steaua. Vivi Răchită was also present at the discussion and shared how the meeting went.
“I had a discussion with Dică, you know that I used to tease him. Why did I tease him? ‘Hey Nick, we were colleagues, you were a great footballer… How can you go somewhere where you are humiliated?’ He didn’t understand that I was trying to provoke a reaction.

Dică lowered his head for a moment, then told me: ‘Vivi, trust me, Gigi gave me freedom until we reached the European competitions. When we got there, everything ended!’
