In the ninth edition of the 12th season of the show “Chefi la cuțite,” aired on September 13th, 2023, chefs Sorin Bontea, Florin Dumitrescu, Cătălin Scărlătescu, and Patrizia Paglieri faced off in a culinary battle to obtain the bomb that brings several significant advantages.
At the end of this challenge, only one chef managed to obtain the amulet bomb, which has the power to offer multiple advantages to a single chef. The final verdict belonged to Cristina Ștefania, after a careful and meticulous tasting of the presented dishes.
“I think I know exactly how the chefs feel because in Asia, when I used to play for amulets, the desire to play was ‘Wow’… And winning the amulet was one thing, plus the game itself, it was all cool! So I can understand that today there is quite an intense battle between the four chefs, and my concern is that everything falls on me,” she said on Antena 1.
Cristina Ștefania confessed to the chefs that her mind was flooded with thoughts: “I could only imagine how all three of them would completely disown me…”.
“Everything was extremely good! The fish, both variations surprised me. I’m telling you now, I chose the puff pastry,” Cristina said. Sorin Bontea won the amulet bomb.

In the 12th season, Irina Fodor brings significant surprises for the judges. The TV presenter will accompany chef Florin Dumitrescu, chef Cătălin Scărlătescu, and chef Sorin Bontea throughout the new season, being the person who brings the most unpredictable news.
The rules remain unchanged in the 12th season of Chefi la cuțite. Therefore, the chefs will continue to cook alongside a special guest in the amulet game. If the advantage is not won by the judges, it will be placed in a safe. All the stakes in the safe will be put into play in the last stage of preselections, and one chef will fully enjoy them in battles.
One of the culinary show’s novelties is an unexpected organizational change: the chefs have an assistant with a substantial list of duties, and this role is taken by Rikito Watanabe, a former contestant from the 9th season of Chefi la cuțite.
